Youtube launched in February, 2005 by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. It is now the 3rd most visited website in the world. The most significant statistics for YouTube relating to small business video marketing are:
- The total number of people who use YouTube – 1,300,000,000.
- YouTube gets over 30 million visitors per day
- Almost 5 billion videos are watched on Youtube every single day.
- 9% of U.S small businesses use Youtube

These statistics show that Youtube is a huge network where businesses can interact with their customers across the world. The free service enables businesses and customers to access the site anywhere at any time, also, there are no restrictions as to how much content can be uploaded to the site.
I installed the Ultimate Social Media Icons plugin on word press to have the social media icons featuring on the sidebar of the home page. This ensures that customers can access the pages easily. The YouTube icon is significant and gives the option to subscribe and go straight to the Uni Box channel.
The Youtube video that I made as part of the marketing campaign URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPqldUHNRRE , was aimed to intrigue the target audience with a glimpse of the product range. The basic but fun video features products available on the site. More than 500 million hours of videos are watched on YouTube each day so it is therefore shown to be a part of people’s daily routine, it is, therefore, vital for businesses to use this site to influence their customer’s behavioral habits.
